We were enthralled with this new wine from Feudi di Pisciotto, made from Syrah. In the thoroughly Mediterranean landscape of southeastern Sicily, the luxurious estate sits against the nature reserve of Niscemi, which is dedicated to the regional Sughera cork-oak trees. Although Syrah's homeland is in the Rhone Valley of France, the Moro di Testa bottling is thoroughly and satisfyingly Sicilian in character! Brooding and pretty, lively and vinous, it's a winner for the winery.

Great structure and extraordinary elegance with a soft and silky tannic texture. A wine that can be appreciated immediately but that can also evolve in the bottle for several years.
A wine that can be well paired with different recipes. Excellent with first courses, from the simplest to the most elaborate, and with second courses such as roasted, braised and stewed meats."
