From younger vines in Ettore Germano's historic Serralunga plots (Cerrretta, Prapo' & Lazzarito), this is an easy introduction to the winery's style and its home. Restrained in youth, with a streamlined, vibrant core and an elegant, but firm, tannic structure. A mineral earthiness and dark spices join the deep red-and-dark-fruited, floral character typical of Nebbiolo here in warm vintages. An excellent value.

KERIN O'KEEFE 96 POINTS - "Aromas recalling dark spice, culinary herb, new leather and camphor accent scents of wild berry on the fragrant Ettore Germano 2020 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga. Firm and youthfully tense, the vibrant palate offers succulent red cherry, spiced cranberry, blood orange and star anise alongside firm, fine-grained tannins..."

WINE SPECTATOR 93 POINTS - "Almost lush in texture, this supple red boasts cherry, raspberry, floral, earth and pine flavors. Fluid and open, showing excellent balance, with light tannins gracing the fresh finish. Best from 2027 through 2043."
