A tantalus is a little device used to lock whisky away from people who might like to sneak a drop. This wooden stand allows the whisky to still be seen on the mantelpiece, but it has a lock and key preventing any unauthorized access. Bowmore 31 Years Old Tantalus Duncan Taylor 1982 is a grand old dram that was aged for 31 years in barrel #85023 before being bottled up by Duncan Taylor as part of their renowned Tantalus series. This particular tantalus was made from the very barrel the whisky was aged in! Along with a hand-blown glass decanter and custom made leather pouch, this whisky is a real showpiece as well as being a knockout drink.

Nose: It has a coastal nose with vanilla, almonds, pine needles and a little smoke.
Palate: The palate is silky with fresh herbs and violets.
Finish: The finish has a refined smoke layer with orange and wax.
