We were delighted to taste the wines from this Salento peninsula estate: they are tasty, well-made and reasonably priced! This Primitivo is medium-bodied, juicy and very easy to drink, with a mix of dark red fruits, a tropical hint like ripe pineapple and a classic Mediterranean herb accent that counters the fruit. It finishes dry but soft, with just a smattering of tannins, making it an ideal red for the party or picnic table...or just hanging out! Serve at a cool 60-62F. Try it with burgers and Mediterranean appetizers.
