ORGANICALLY GROWN, LOW INTERVENTION, NATURAL WINE
Emma and Andrew Nielsen, originally from Australia, started making wine in Burgundy under the Le Grappin label in 2011. They source grapes from under-appreciated sites from around the region, with fantastic results. The chardonnay for this Mâcon-Villages release comes from the cool slopes above the village of Azé. It spent twelve months on the lees in barrel plus an additional four months, still on the lees, in stainless steel. Salty bright summer berries and vanilla blossom on the nose lead to a palate of peach and an elegant lemon finish.
