ANTONIO GALLONI 96 POINTS - "I can't say enough good things about this set of wines from Dragonette. The team led by brothers John and Steve Dragonette and Winemaker Brandon Sparks-Gillis excels with just about everything...Chardonnays are barrel fermented and aged for 18 months with no lees stirring. Primary and secondary fermentations are all native. From top to bottom, Dragonette is one of the most consistent and impressive wineries in Santa Barbara. These wines are simply tremendous."

"The 2022 Chardonnay Black Label is a blend of Bentrock, Radian and Rita's Crown, three of the most elite sites in the Sta. Rita Hills. Readers will find a wine of phenolic intensity with a huge mid-palate and tons of sheer drive. Orchard fruit, chamomile, white pepper and slate all saturate the palate. In this vintage, the blend is just magical. There's a bit more oak here than in the vineyard designates, but it works so well."

JEB DUNNUCK 96 POINTS - "Slightly more expensive, the 2022 Chardonnay Black Label comes from a mix of vineyards (Bentrock, Radian, and Rita’s Crown) and was brought up in 83% new French oak. Its medium gold hue is followed by a rocking bouquet of honeyed orange, toasted spice, crushed stone, and blanched almond. This carries to a medium to full-bodied Chardonnay with beautiful mid-palate density and a layered, elegant, just about seamless mouthfeel that keeps you coming back to the glass. It should have a solid decade of longevity."
