FAT PLANT 18 YEARS
It is a very rare ancient grape variety, almost disappeared from the region, replanted at Domaine Tariquet in 2001.
The Plant de Graisse was forgotten after the phylloxera crisis which destroyed a large part of European vineyards in the 19th century .
This Bas-Armagnac, composed exclusively of the Plant de Graisse grape variety, combines several age accounts; the youngest is 18 years old and is therefore the one selected for classification.
Aging 18 years minimum, 49.3° alc.
Grape variety: 100% Fat Plant
Tasting Notes
A color with copper highlights. A nose tinged with orange peel and spices. In the mouth, flavors of bitter cocoa and licorice, an astonishing almost “oily” consistency. The Plant de Graisse reveals an aromatic diversity that is out of the ordinary, supported by the fat typical of this grape variety. Beautiful power and tremendous length in the mouth.
