VINOUS 96 POINTS - "Among the whites, I especially admired the 1995 Chave Hermitage Blanc for its complex bouquet of truffles, honey, flowers and spices, all of which flowed through to the unctuous finish. This rich, explosive wine was utterly captivating."
WINE ADVOCAATE 95 POINTS - " The ’95 is one my favorite white Hermitages from Chave, although I would offer that this magnum was not quite as ethereal as the bottle opened in London last year. Still, it has a complex bouquet with candle wax, honeycomb, peach and lime leaf, very well defined and vigorous. The palate is more expansive than the 1996 although it does not quite have the same level of tension. Lemon curd, dried pineapple and beeswax towards the persistent finish, this is still a superb expression of white Hermitage."
