It is also excellent straight or for making chocolate rum cake. This rum boasts an outrageous nose of cedar, leather, maple syrup and brown sugar and is wonderful on the palate as well showing Molasses, nutmeg, cola, chocolate and resin. The finish is unbelievably smooth with no heat whatsoever. The rum is aged several years in heavily charred oak barrels. This is one of our favorite dark rums here at the store.
