#11 WINE SPECTATOR TOP 100 2024 94 POINTS - "Fresh and precise, with lime, mango and passion fruit notes that are accented by crunchy sea salt, litsea oil [like lemongrass], dried chamomile and fresh lemon zest on a mouthwatering, fleshy frame. Drink now. —M.W."
Craggy Range's Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Martinborough area on the North Island. Founded by the Peabody family in the 1990s, they made the wise choice of enlisting Master of Wine and New Zealand winemaking expert, Steve Smith, to develop the vineyards and winery from scratch. Steve has since been on both Decanter Magazine and Wine & Spirits Magazine's "Most Influential Winemakers" lists. Craggy Range's Sauvignon Blanc is a bit airier in weight, with saline veins of acidity enlivening its broad, rounded mouthfeel.
