At Corsair they craft classic styled spirits that they then 'fine-tune' by augmenting with peculiar, or unexpected variations-always to great effect. Their intention is to elevate the 'craft' in artisan distilling and provide gratifying, incomparable contributions in the form of delectable spirits. The genever begins with focused attenion to the single malt mash-bill that is then distilled in small batches in traditional copper pot stills. They then created a botanical recipe-traditionally based, but tweaked-including juniper, ginger, orange peel and a plethora of other botanicals. The aromas are round and toothsome, leading with malty juniper, white pepper, pine notes, citrus, fresh ginger and spicy hops. The palate is creamy, light and powerfully demonstrate the aromas. The finish lingers for so long, with such depth and warming complexity it is a marvel to experience. This is fantastic, the best 'new world' genever I have ever had. Try it neat, with a beer, on ice, or in an exciting cocktail...the possibilities are endless.
