History,

Chateau de Pellehaut 2005 Tenareze Armagnac
Purchased shortly after World War II, by its current owner, Gaston Béraut, the vineyard has grown to 140 hectares, making it one of the largest single properties in the region. 5-10% of the whole is used for fermentation. Young Folle Blanche and older Ugni Blanc are planted on argilo-calcaires, boulbènes (clay with a high proportion of limestone, some sand parcels with pieces of clay).

Tasting Notes,

With a tawny colour and amber highlights, this Armagnac has a fruity fieriness on the nose accompanied by notes of liquorice and lime flower. In the mouth, a strong taste of freshly picked plums envelopes the palate with an invigorating heat of sunshine. A young and feisty eau-de-vie with lots of vigour
