History,
La Noix des Pères Chartreux is made according to an old Dauphinoise recipe.
The green walnuts are collected at the St Jean, then macerated in alcohol. The Fathers also added a decoction of plants, which gave it its very particular aroma.
Nose: it displays a complex bouquet of aromas: prominent notes of green walnut, accompanied by herbal nuances and a light spicy touch, evoking the forests and gardens of the monastery.
Palate: On the palate, the flavour is intensely nutty and perfectly balanced with the sweetness, acidity and bitterness characteristic of green walnuts, followed by a long and pleasantly persistent finish
