Founded nearly four decades ago, Chalk Hill Estate has consistently released award-winning wines that capture the casual luxury of Sonoma County. Located at the convergence of several naturally defined winegrowing regions, this unique Sonoma County estate features a range of microclimates, soils and exposures that require well-reasoned, site-specific farming protocols. Bill Foley purchased the property in 2010, and has since continued the meticulous farming practices to ensure that the resulting grapes have the potential for world class wine. With the help of his vineyard manager and his winemaker, Bill Foley is keeping Chalk Hill in the lime light, producing wines that deliver vivid aromatics, commanding flavors, great character and regional accuracy.
Starting with the 2011 vintage, in addition to their estate Chardonnay, Chalk Hill started producing their first Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. This Chardonnay features fruit from some of the best sites in Carneros, Chalk Hill, and of course, the Sonoma Coast. The fruit coming from the Chalk Hill AVA provides richness, concentration, viscosity and nuttiness, while the Carneros delivers structure and notes of apple and pear.
The 2023 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is bright, forward, balanced and approachable. Enticing aromas of red apple, spice, nectarine, and baked bread lead into a broad textured, and creamy palate. With its cool-climate influences, this chardonnay has remarkable varietal intensity, balanced acidity and mineral notes that complement the flavors of fresh peach and honey.

Nice chardonnay for every day use. Especially at the price.
