This has the classic Sangiovese character from the warmer Castelnuovo Berardenga zone. Medium-full in weight, the sleek fruit texture is paired with lightly dusty mineral-like tannins and a juicy citrus acidity that makes the finish refreshingly tangy and lightly drying. Subtle, vinous aromas take coaxing in the glass, then reveal herb-tinged juicy black cherries, baked strawberry and orange mingling amongst an earthy wood tone. This is a wine for lemony, herbed roast chicken or pizza. Just decant for an hour and serve a cool 60F.
JAMES SUCKLING 97 POINTS - "Very perfumed with flowers and sandalwood. Medium- to full-bodied with very fine tannins that are so long and intense. This will compete with top Brunellos. Linear and driven at the end. From organically grown grapes."
