Pergolaia is the Caiarossa estate's "second wine," a classic Tuscan blend based on Sangoivese with minor percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Depending on vintage, it constitutes forty to sixty percent of production. The coastal climate brings the Sangoivese fruit to plush ripeness, and the ancillary varieties lend depth, structure and complexity.
