Unaged grappa produced at Caffo Distilleria Friulia in Udine, Italy Composed of 95% Magliocco and Gaglioppo grapes and 5% Pinot Grigio Distilled twice in a bain-marie-style alembic pot still wherein the grape skins are steam distilled
Caffo’s Grappa Italiana is an elegant and inviting introduction to a category of spirit notorious for its often brutish intensity. Enjoy on its own or mixed into cocktails in need of dry fruit notes.
Tasting Notes,
Nose: The nose is reminiscent of an unaged Armagnac or pisco, with high floral notes and aromas of Bosc pear.
Palate: The palate is soft and silky, showing plenty of pear, underripe tropical fruit, toasted rice, and fresh cream.
