History,
Located in the Highland region, Macduff distillery was built in 1960 in response to the post-war whisky boom. It's a seaside distillery, located on the banks of the River Deveron, next to the Moray Firth.
With its classical and functional structure, it produces a spirit most known for being nutty with a gentle, fruity sweetness
Tasting Notes,
Nose: Dates, walnuts, cola bottles, orange zest, blood orange, box of confectionery chocolates, mint sprig
Palate: Oily, slightly chewy. Chocolate orange, nutmeg, cinnamon
Finish: Cooking chocolate, mint chocolate creams, honey comb. Lovely & soft
