Bulleit Bottled In Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a testament to the brand's commitment to higher standards and quality craftsmanship. As part of the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, this special release from Bulleit distillery adheres to strict regulations.
What does Bottled-in-Bond mean?
First passed in 1897, the Bottled-in-Bond Act is a crucial piece of quality control that has defined the American whiskey industry. It states that any bourbon labeled "bonded" or "bottled-in-bond" must meet three important criteria: it must be aged in a United States federally bonded barrelhouse for a minimum of four years; bottled at 100 proof; and the product of one distillery over one distilling season. Bottled-in-Bond labeled whiskey is one of the highest quality spirits in the United States - and some of the rarest whiskeys in the world.
This is Bulleit's first release of Bottled-in-Bond whiskey. And it's the first whiskey distilled at their Shelbyville, KY distillery! Inspired by their classic high-rye mashbill, this whiskey is one of mastery, distinction and quality. Aged for 7 years, hailing from the Spring 2017 distillation season. The deep flavor of the liquid is the result of perseverance and patience, as smooth on the palate as it is to pour. The 2025 Edition marks the beginning of their limited time offering Bottled-in-Bond whiskeys, with additional releases being planned for the coming years.
Tasting Notes: Spicy and fruity on the nose with hints of vanilla, baked apple, cacao. On the palate, it has notes of lightly toasted oak, maple, dried fruits and nutmeg, with a sweet butterscotch finish that persists for a decent amount. Great neat or in a cocktail!
