Rocche di Castiglione is a famous vineyard area of the Castiglione Falletto district.
This low ridge helps trap air that warms up, making the vines ripen earlier than average, and gives the wines warmly dark tones. With its sandier soils and aspect toward the morning sun, though, they are aromatically expressive and finessed. It's a great wine for early approachability (give it at least an hour in the decanter to breath).
