A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Cabernet Franc, this is a wonderful blend from the Knights Valley in Sonoma county. The 2019 vintage is a rich, serious wine with structure and lots of energy. There is a complex nose of both sweet and savory aromas, including plum preserves, cherries, dark espresso roast, black licorice, leather, and dried savory herts that follow through on the palate. The tannins are silky and present-yet-approachable, in a finish that is lively, layered, and of great length. A brief decanting of one hour is recommended in its youth.
