The Brander family legacy in winemaking began in 1975 when Fred Brander, inspired by his French roots, planted his first vines in the heart of Santa Barbara County. With a passion for crafting exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, Brander quickly garnered recognition for his pioneering spirit and dedication to quality. Today, the Brander winery continues to honor this rich heritage, producing world-class wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region.
This Sauvignon Blanc shows a best of both worlds profile. Alongside the classic and nuanced aromas of white flowers and green apples, honeysuckle and honeydew show presence and intertwine to provide a more expressive nose. On the palate, the minerality and acidity are eager to surround the tongue but are kept in check with melon, apricot, and a nuance of vanilla. This Sauvignon Blanc goes great with a plethora of dishes ranging from white meats and creamy pastas to seafood and fish.
As summer comes to a close, it is important to keep the memories of the season alive with this exceptional Sauvignon Blanc. When tasting through the Brander wines, Antonio Galloni called this "One of the best wines in this year's range"!
Please note: We only received 10 cases of this wine, so keep the spirit of summer alive and grab a bottle before they are all gone!!
ANTONIO GALLONI 93 POINTS - "The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc Cuvée Nicolas is one of the best wines in this year's range. The Nicolas is a selection from the estate that sees some skin contact and that is aged in oak. Rich and ample, the Nicolas offers a compelling interplay of richness and vibrancy. Ripe apricot, pear, chamomile and spice meld into the plush, resonant finish."
