History,
We have DS Tayman to thank for this indie Blair Athol, distilled in 2008. It was initially matured in a hogshead cask, before being moved over to an ex-Flam wine barrel for a finishing period. It was bottled up at 12 years old, with a release of 177 bottles (all dashingly dressed up in green) at 46% ABV.
Tasting Notes,
Nose: Salty digestive biscuits, with orange chocolate, and strawberry jam.
Palate: Fruit and nut chocolate, along with oily citrus, and raspberry ice cream.
Finish: Red grape skin on a subtly spiced finish.
