Blackadder Raw Cask 30+ YO Blackadder – RAW CASK INVERGORDON STATEMENT 57, 34 YO, 52.6% – 34YO Bottle Intro INVERGORDON SINGLE GRAIN, 34 YEARS OLD, STATEMENT EDITION Bottle Story Blackaddder INVERGORDON Statement, Edition #46, is a very rare 34 year old single grain scotch whisky. There are only 269 bottles worldwide. Invergordon is a grain distillery situated north of Inverness on the Cormarty Firth. The absolutely massive distillery produces upwards of 40 million liters of pure alcohol per year thanks to their massive column still. Their production of grain whisky is exclusively destined for the blends, but a few odd casks make it out of the blender’s repertoire and are bottled by Independents. Like so many things in whisky, with time comes greatness and these Invergordons are proof that grain has many facets. The casks we reserve for Blackadder Statement are selected first and foremost for their excellent quality. A truly noble cask of single malt whisky is not just a matter of age and maturity. These qualities play their part, but so does the art of good cask management, combined with regular nosing and appraisal of the spirit. As they say, age is just a number! We never chill or otherwise heavily filter our whiskies, nor is colour ever added to them. This is how we always bottled our whiskies and is how we always will. This is our promise to you -our Blackadder Statement. In the 30 year plus category we offer exceptionally aged and incredibly rare Scotch Whiskies based on the RAW CASK philosophy. The Cask is King! Bottled from single casks, no chilling, no heavy filtering and never, ever any caramel coloring or flavoring added. Never! And many have been lucky enough to discover barrel char in their bottles! This rare single grain scotch whisky, from Invergordon Distillery, was drawn at cask strength from a single Hogshead cask. It was distilled in February 1988 and bottled in February 2022, in Scotland.
