Since 1600, the Bava Family has grown grape vines in Cocconato, a village
that rises steeply up the hillsides of the Monferrato Astigiano territory,
founding their winery there in 1911.
There's a firm thread through the core of this medium-bodied Barbera, driving the fleshy, rounded fruit like dark cherry preserves, along with tangy blackberries, a hint of almond, and a subtle spice accent like pepper. A super-flexible food partner!
Low total sulfites (~38mg/L). No oak used in winemaking.
