History,
When we created Texas 1, we didn't set out to start a movement. We just wanted to pioneer a new way to distill the spirit we loved. We started with a traditional single malt approach to process and ingredients but with a more virgin oak profile to bring something new to what has become known as American Single Malts. And along the way, we found our purpose – to be a leader in this burgeoning category.
Tasting Notes,
Nose: Ripe, buttered stone fruit, banana and pears; honey and rose water with delicate citrus accents
Palate: Silky and full on the palate; lightly toasted bread with fresh butter and marmalade
Finish: Long finish with lingering toast and burnt sugar notes morphing into rich malt and wood flavors with counterbalancing acidity
