History,
This edition was originally a private label for the Bellego Hotel in Las Vegas. The hand blown bottle was designed with inspiration of the Dale Chihuly chandeliers in the lobby. Only 5,040 bottles produced in 2022 the Vintage Extra Anejo is a remarkably smooth extra anejo, rested in new French Oak barrels and described as "Nectar of the Gods."
Asom Broso Classic 11-Year Vintage Anejo Tequila, the oldest rested Tequila in North America is now available to the discriminating Tequila aficionado. Ricardo, from AsomBroso: "The history of this outstanding tequila is that years ago, Enrique Fonseca Sr., a renowned agave grower and tequila maker, sealed a cache of his freshly distilled tequila into a few small French Oak casks as an experiment in making a longer-aged Anejo, mainly for his own enjoyment. Now, eleven years later, I have convinced his son and my partner, Enrique Fonseca Jr., to let me bottle and distribute some of this unique family legacy." While there is no vintage nomenclature for tequila as regulated by the Mexican CRT, for all intents and purposes, this Classic Vintage tequila would be worthy of an outstanding or great rating if this were a wine. This eleven-year-old tequila is certified by the CRT and its offering will be the first of its kind outside of a select inner circle in Mexico.
TASTING NOTES - The
Nose: The nose is sweet with hints of butterscotch and caramel; aeration expands to include honey oak, and a touch of cinnamon;
Palate: the palate is warming agave without the bitterness. Mid-palate reveals notes of vanilla and oak moving towards a smooth finish.
AWARDS - Best of the Best by the prestigious Rob Report and awarded top tequila by the Worlds Spirit Competition
