This comes from the the edge of the continental Ribera del Duero region, at 2500 ft above sea level. Fermented and aged 1 year in new French oak, which provide for a gently creamy edge to the wine. Mellow and sleek, with an appetizing mineral streak; this is a distinctive style relative to the Arzuaga estate's core estate wines. Ideal with lean red meat and game dishes, or soft cow or sheep cheeses.
