WINE ADVOCATE 95 POINTS - "The 2022 Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese "Urglück" is based on almost entirely healthy grapes and opens with a highly refined and savory/herbal nose. On the palate, this is a mouth-filling but very fine and delicate, persistently saline Auslese with crystalline acidity and a long, aromatic but also mineral finish. This is a fabulous wine that I tasted a few days after Rolf Merkelbach's death. It's an impressive Riesling that seems to sell in Germany for 24 euros, even though it is sourced from an ancient, dramatically steep vineyard."
