Gamay Blanc here is really Chardonnay! The name goes back to the fact that Chardonnay is grown in the Beujoulais wine region, the home of Gamay Noir! This comes from vines planted with their own roots (rather than grafted onto North American species), on sandy granitic soils in the cool-climate Empedrado part of Chile's Maule Valley.
